Team PKR Everybody knows that the new kid on the block in the poker world is PKR, and everybody is expecting them to absolutely blow up in the next couple of years. It looks like PKR just might be ahead of everybody since they are already joining the ranks of successful companies that have their very own sponsored professional team of poker players. All well known brands have their own team, made up of players who have been hand selected to represent the company through playing and teaching and appearances. PKR has already reached that level, and to be quite honest, has not surprised anybody that they should decide to make that move. Each big company has their own team of players who they send to play in all of the international competitions and tournaments. Not only does the company win since their name is getting constant exposure through the clear association between the brand and the excellent players, but the players are also gaining notoriety since they are good enough and successful enough to be backed by an entire company of expert poker players.
The decision
to hire somebody for the team has to be a careful one. A mistake
might mean the possibility that somebody’s behavior or ill
performance might tarnish the brand just by the mere
association. However, when a company chooses correctly and
decides to back an exceptional poker player with exceptional
skill and decorum, the world takes notice, and both the brand
and the individual win from the situation. Since the companies
analyze both poker skill and personality, they have a greater
chance of choosing the right person for the role.
