WSOP Coverage

The recession has affected everybody by now, as is obvious from the saturation of sales and advertising using the key words budget and savings. The world of poker is no stranger to it these days either, as companies are realizing that everybody is strapped for cash. In a very intelligent move by PKR.com, the company has recently partnered with Bluff Media to provide free broadcasting for the World Series of Poker to all fans everywhere. Not only will the broadcasting be available, but poker fans everywhere will be able to keep up in real time as the footage will be streamed online at the PKR website.

In the past, most broadcast coverage has been extremely limited and that means that this partnership is a landmark turning point for the direction of the companies involved, and the event itself. The World Series of Poker is one of the most famous poker events around the world, as poker stars from everywhere participate in this long event. Not only are the best of the best represented, but the stakes are the highest they can possibly be, with pots topping the $20,000 mark on a regular basis, and the famed $50,000 HORSE event at the top of everybody’s favorite list. All of the top events that make up the World Series of Poker will be broadcast this year, exclusively on PKR.com, and fans as well as the company are very excited.

Also, qualifiers are more user friendly this year, as many online poker casinos are holding tournaments with qualifier prizes and very inexpensive buy ins. It looks like poker might be catering to the masses in anticipation of online poker being legalized in the States.
