Females in Online Poker With so many more people like Annie Duke, who are just hard working knowledgeable passionate and positive, it would be easy to see why women should be accepted as players across the board in the world of poker. However, when petty drama ensues or legal battles are brought up, many worry that those things would not have happened if not for a female involvement in online poker. The latest drama is that Clonie Gowen filed a breach of contract lawsuit against Full Tilt Poker last year, saying she had not been paid the money that the company owed her from profits according to their agreement. Gowen had signed on to represent the famous poker company through membership in their Poker Pro Team at Full Tilt, and claimed that she was not benefitting from the same perks as the rest of the players were, simply because they were men and she was not. Most recently it looked like the judge was going to throw out the complaint entirely, but then Gowen resubmitted an edited version of her story, which included a couple more incidents from reality for good measure. Full Tilt Poker has maintained that she does not have a case and have said again that they want to dismiss this ridiculous complaint. Not only has she targeted the company itself, but Gowen has also brought the complaint against all her other fellow Full Tilt Pro Poker Players on the team. Unfortunately for Clonnie Gowen, it looks like her reputation in the online poker casino industry has been tarnished for good, and it was all by her own doing. What’s worse is that not only is the Full Tilt family of companies not to thrilled about her conduct as of late, but other players will likely not be too thrilled about her participating in other poker events in the future.
