All Female Poker Seminar Anybody who is familiar with the international poker scene will concur that up until recently, poker has been a man’s world through and through. But how do women get into the whole game if there are hardly any girls in it in the first place? Also, many guys refuse to show their girl friends how to play, since they think of it as a man’s game. However, any guy who loves poker will tell you that there is nothing hotter than a woman who can kick some royal butt at Texas Hold’Em, as long as he wasn’t the one to show her how to play. In response to this attitude, some Poker Pro Ladies have decided to set up their own poker seminar, to be held at Harrah’s Casino in New Orleans this year. Not only is it a women’s only event, but the seminar happens to be free! That’s right, this poker party has the best “F word” attached to it! The Women’s Ultimate Poker Academy, or WUPA, is the first of its kind and promises to be a strong hit for years to come. Poker pro Barbara Enright will be heading it up this year, and is only one out of a handful of professional ladies who will be involved, like JJ Liu and Karina Jett. Enright actually has three World Series of Poker bracelets, and the others have another handful in their back pocket. These All Star ladies of poker will be teaching participants one on one and will be going step by step in the Texas Hold’em instructional course. While this is not a common occurrence, it more often than not requires a couple hundred to a thousand dollars to be able to participate, and also is always dominated by men. This time, the ladies get to put their own stamp on poker, and not only is it a friendly atmosphere, with an impressive roster of all female professional poker players, but it happens to not cost a dime.
