Olympics at RedKings

This week marks the beginning of a thousand year old tradition. Yes, I’m talking about the Olympic games, which this year is being held in China, which is a whole other controversial story in itself. For now let’s all focus on the athletics, and not on the visa denying, mask wearing, contender kidnapping, human rights offending debacle that is this year’s event. (What can I say, I couldn’t help it.)

It seems that all businesses and industries are tapping into the hype this year, as with every other Olympics year. The gambling world is no exception, as land and internet casinos and poker rooms have announced spectacular promotions for their loyal players. Usually they are a figurative way to just have an excuse for a new giveaway or bonus. However RedKings is actually breaking away from the pack to offer an event that quite literally is structured like the Olympics!

While online poker and slots casinos like Intertops and Bodog are offering $10,000 giveaways, bonuses, and tournaments. However, RedKings has structured a global event for Olympics fans all over the world. In a quite innovative move, the poker casino is featuring a round the clock tournament for international players to cash in on the action. Furthermore, there are other events that they are producing that are actually structured like a marathon, triathlon, and even sprints. What is especially great is that the online poker website is happy to include people from all over the world who play at all different levels.

Truly, the Olympics organization and some countries, China, should follow the example of RedKings, who are happy to actually include everybody regardless of any differences. Isn’t that what this whole spectacle is supposed to be about? It’s interesting that it seems that an online poker site is more in the spirit of world peace than 2008’s Olympic host.
