iDeal is to Pacific Poker as PayPal
is to eBay
Pacific Poker has finally added iDeal
as a payment method for its loyal customers! After so many
online gamers have had trouble with financial transactions,
especially those from the Netherlands, this new announcement
from the 888 subsidiary could not have come at a better time.
Many people live in areas where their
currency or credit card information would not be compatible with
the site, or their government would not approve of their
activity, which means they have had to figure out ways to get
around this very serious roadblock. Others still merely dislike
the idea of handing out their personal account information to
just anybody online, and would rather manage their online
gambling accounts through one secure website.
iDeal, in effect, is basically like
PayPal, in that the customer has options for filling his account
and transferring those funds into payroll for other sites, such
as Pacific Poker. PayPal is most commonly used on the online
auction site eBay, which processes billions of dollars in
transactions everyday, through credit cards, bank accounts, and
PayPal, of course. While it is still possible to complete
transactions in other ways, many merchants and customers choose
PayPal for its anonymity and security, since they are not
sharing their personal information with anybody, except their
own secure third party server.
iDeal, then, will do exactly that for
Pacific Poker, and if the analogy really rings true, the new
addition of the payment method will bring in added revenue for
the company. On top of that, the two companies are offering
sign-up bonuses to get people to use and get acquainted with
this new feature.
It looks like this whole iDeal deal is
a double win.
