Harrahs Prepares We are not exactly clear where Harrahs Casino has been getting their information, but it looks like they have gotten a good feeling from somewhere as it appears that the poker and slots giant is preparing to expand to an online site. What is still kind of funny is that the current law that prohibits online casinos from operating in the country, the UIGEA, is still in full effect. While there are still companies that are taking advantage of the lack of regulation within the States, most big named casinos are avoiding it since they don’t want to jeopardize any good relations with the US government. Still Harrah’s and other land casinos, not all, seem to be anticipating a positive change any time soon, and it looks like they want to hit the ground running the second that the news comes through that online casino and poker gambling is legal in the US. Now that the industry has been suffering for a few years in traditional brick and mortar casino and poker rooms, companies are hurting to create another revenue opportunity in order to make up for lowered foot traffic and decreased spending.
Harrah’s is now an internationally successful casino,
and they have been one of the strongest supporters of
legalization in the US. Anticipating that change in the legal
system, they have even expanded the company and added a branch
that will solely focus on launching the new online poker and
slots casino site, immediately after it is a possibility.
