There are a number of other websites offering reviews of poker
rooms both online and land-based poker rooms. I've listed the
best of these here. Please note that all of these poker review
websites have been hand-selected and offer original content. (A
lot of so-called poker review sites are simply glorified banner
farms. We haven't listed those particular sites here.) Play Winning Poker offers reviews and observations about a number of online cardrooms, and has probably the most extensive collection of poker strategy articles available on the internet. I like the strategy articles here because of the emphasis on thinking for yourself rather than the specifics for how to play particular hands. Beat the Fish - This is a great little strategy guide and the poker reviews are entertaining and well-written. Haunted Poker - The most haunted poker rooms online. A clever theme and a clever website, with real reviews of online poker rooms. Firbolg - An odd name for an unusually good site about poker. The author of the site does explain the reasoning behind his choice of names on the site too. Blind Bet Poker - This is a graphics rich, pretty website. A lot of times this is an indicator that the quality of the content isn't very good, but Blind Bet Poker is an exception to this rule, and they provide top notch poker content, including accurate reviews of the poker rooms. Golden Rule of Poker - A really neat, rich website, with reviews of some poker rooms that aren't available on the other sites listed above. Online Poker Center - Reviews of cardrooms from professional players and reader-submitted reviews. (They gave Yahoo Poker one star out of a possible five, which made me laugh.) Party Poker Strategy Guide - While this site is largely concerned with Party Poker and strategy, it does also include complete reviews of Pokerstars, Poker Room, and Euro Poker, among others. Online Poker Reviews - Like my site, the design is nothing fancy, but the information is solid and opinionated, which is exactly what I look for in a poker site. Poker Gator - A neat, clean site providing poker reviews and including numeric ratings for each cardroom. Top Poker Sites - Entertaining and fun stories about poker games both online and traditional games. Lots of fun, well-written, and original. Mac Online Poker - Features information for online poker players using Mac /Macintosh OS or Linux. Reviews poker rooms and suggests best methods to play at each one with a Mac. |
